Welcome! On the eBooks Guide you will find information about available eBook collections, tips and tools, and instructions for accessing them.
eBooks are books that are available electronically or digitally. Many can be downloaded to a computer, e-reader, or other equipment. Some have specific limitations or owner requirements. Many of the U of L eBooks are limited to use within the libraries, or by U of L students and employees. Freely available eBooks are also listed. We have several eBook collections within databases, as well as individual books within the U of L Libraries Catalog and WorldCat Local. We also have popular titles that are currently available on our Kindles. The Kindle titles can not be downloaded to personal e-readers at this time; however, U of L students and staff can borrow a Kindle through the Kindle Program. See the "blue" tabs at the top of the page for more information about the eBooks and eBook collections at U of L.
Accessing eBooks by Title
You can use the UofL Libraries Catalog or WorldCat Local to access individual eBooks. To find an eBook, place the title in one of the catalogs below. You will see a link to the eBook if UofL has access to the item in electronic form.
