Industry Profiles and Reports

Summary and analyses of key metrics, trends and forecasts for category, subsegments and leading companies.

Select Industry Profile from drop down list under Publication Type.   Enter NAICS code in designated box lower on the page, or industry name in main search box at top.

♦  Hoover’s™ Industry Snapshots @ LexisNexis® Academic  UofL Libraries Electronic Database
Brief (1-2 pg.) industry overviews listing key players, competitors, rankings, associations, and publications.

From left (blue) sidebar, select Sources and then Find Sources.   Expand Industries & Markets under Publication Type.  Check Industry Directories & Profiles.  Click Find Sources.  Check Hoover’s Industry Snapshots and then OK – Continue. Select Industry link (second option in Add Index Terms). Expand Topics as needed to select desired industry and click OK – Add to Search.

♦  First Research and BMI Industry Reports via ProQuest (ABI/INFORM Complete™)  UofL Libraries Electronic Database
Brief reports on about 200 industries.

Click Browse tab at top and then First Research or Business Monitor International (BMI) Industry Reports link.  Select industry from list.  Use Refine Search option to narrow to subsegment or reports containing specific companies or products.

♦  Standard & Poor's Industry Surveys  Print Resource--Table 15 Ekstrom Reference Dept.   

Current environment, trends, profile, operations, statistics, financial ratios, references and company analyses for 53 North American industries updated twice a year.
