Resources in the Art Library

In addition to standard dictionaries and other books on the reference shelf, check the following resources for information on local artists or locally produced works of art.

Information and Artists Files contain ephemeral materials on art of primarily local interest. Artist files contain information about individual artists. Information files contain information about various subjects in art. Artist and Information Files are located across from aisles 12/13.

The Courier Journal Art Column has been kept and indexed since 1944. It contains a wealth of information on local artists. The columns are filed in notebooks, are indexed every 6 months and have a cumulative index. The notebooks are across from aisles 12/13.
